Bio: Chester Victor Clifton, well known as Ted, (b. September 13, 1913, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada-d. December 23, 1991, Washington, D.C.) was a World War II commanding general and Assistant to Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the 1940s and 1950s. From 1961 to 1963, he served as a military aide to President Kennedy and then President Johnson, 1963-1965.
