Bio: Donald Sellimac Gilpatric (1909-1989) worked for the Board of Economic Welfare from 1942 to 1943 and the State Department from 1943 to 1945. He was also director of the China Relief Mission and economic advisor to Allied Force Headquarters in Algeria. He became a Foreign Service Officer, and served as the Director of the Office of Foreign Commercial Services at the Department of Commerce from 1962 until his retirement in 1981.
