Bio: Edward Moore Kennedy (b. Feb. 22, 1932, Boston, Mass.-d. Aug. 25, 2009), graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in government in 1956, and received his LL.B. from the University of Virginia in 1959. He served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. He was elected democratic senator from Massachusetts in 1962, served until his death in August 2009. He was the Assistant District Attorney for Suffolk County from 1961 to 1962, and sought the Democratic nomination for president in 1980.
