Mace, Almon Turley, 1911-1972


Bio: Almon Turley Mace (1911-1972) worked for the Farm Security Administration and the Farmers Home Administration at the Department of Agriculture (USDA) from 1938 to 1955. He was assistant director of the Budget and Statistics Division at USDA from 1950 to 1955, and program analyst for the USDA Commodity Stabilization Service from 1955 to 1961. From 1961 to 1966 he was the Deputy Administrator of the Rural Community Development Service and Director of the Office of Rural Areas Development at the Department of Agriculture.
