Darling:
I’m delighted at my letters. Two in the last two days and both of them great big long ones. I want to come on home now and give you the hugs and spankings that you need.
The house plans sound wonderful. It may be a grand idea to get bids on the 2 bed room house. It sounds good to me. I told Herman Brown to get in touch with you and Sen. Wirtz and buy the house for [illegible word].
I’m all enthused about the possibilities of getting away on the trip to Mexico. I do hope we can make it.

the Spend-Lend bill and God knows what we will do in the next few months unless private enterprise takes up the slack.
I’m terribly homesick today. I don’t know how I’m going to manage to stay away from you another 3 weeks.
I love you so very-very-much--
Love & Kisses--
LBJ
