Bio: Franklin Hall Williams (1917-1990) was an assistant special counsel for the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) from 1945 to 1950, and regional director with the NAACP from 1950 to 1959. He was a director with the Peace Corps from 1961 to 1963, and served as the U.S. Ambassador to Ghana from 1965 to 1968.
