Bio: Sheldon Stanley Cohen (b. 1927) was a legislative attorney in the Office of Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) from 1952 to 1956, and he served as chief counsel in the Office of Chief Counsel from 1963 to 1965. He was Commissioner of Internal Revenue in the IRS Office of Chief Counsel from 1965 to 1969. In 1976 he was a member of the Jimmy Carter Tax Task Force, and an adviser on tax and economics for the Walter F. Mondale presidential campaign in 1984.
