Bio: Ralph Anthony Dungan (b. April 22, 1923, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-d. October 5, 2013, St. John Parish, Barbados) was a Special Assistant to President John F. Kennedy from 1961 to 1963 and to President Lyndon B. Johnson from 1963 to 1964. He was also an advisor on Latin American affairs, a personnel advisor, and President Kennedy's liaison with the Catholic community. Dungan served as the United States Ambassador to Chile from 1964 to 1967. He was appointed Chancellor of Higher Education for the State of New Jersey in 1967, a position he held until 1976.
