Bio: Jack Joseph Valenti (b. September 5, 1921, Houston, Texas-d. April 26, 2007, Washington, D.C.), advertising and public relations executive who served as Special Assistant to President Lyndon B. Johnson from 1963 to 1966. After leaving the White House, he was a motion picture executive, adjunct professor of government and public administration at American University, and an author of several books. Considered a Hollywood institution, he lead the Motion Picture Association of America in devising a voluntary film-rating system.
