Bio: Vicente Trevino Ximenes (b. December 5, 1919, Floresville, Texas-d. February 27, 2014) was a Mexican-American civil rights leader. He served as Chairman of the President Lyndon B. Johnson's Cabinet Committee on Mexican American Affairs. President Johnson also appointed Ximenes as U.S. commissioner of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, where he served for five years.
