LBJ sends Lady Bird a picture postcard of the Hotel Occidental dining room and thanks her for the pictures she sent him that get kissed "almost a million times a day." He writes that he had lunch at the hotel and plans to take Lady Bird there when she visits.

The pictures were beautiful. The other two get kissed [?] almost a million times a day.
I'm going to take you, Gene, and my friend, Mrs. Boehringer, to the Occidential for dinner the first night you are here. Just had lunch with Maury Maverick and Dick Tullis, commercial attaché from U.S. to Mexico. Grand food, lovely surroundings--but no Bird.
