My darling:
I firmly intended to take most of the day off yesterday, but when dark came I awakened to the fact that my Sunday had been spent at the desk. Then too I didn’t get around to penning this note in spite of my resolutions to the contrary.
Honey I miss you a lot. Life isn’t nearly as sweet without you. About all I think of in your absence is the day you will return. You know you and my work make me a happy youngster.
Late Saturday afternoon I went

horseback riding with Hollis & Bill. Am I sore all over. But I learned where to go and ride and I’m going with you just as soon as we can after you get back.
We have definitely planned to leave here Friday for C.C. I’m going to Floresville tomorrow afternoon returning Wednesday. The Wirtz’s are very enthusiastic about the trip. I know you are going to love it.
Had a little trouble with my side again last night & today. See how I eat when you are away.

Please know how I’m hungry for you and how happy I’m going to be when you get back.
I should so much like to see you return with Aunt Effie & Miss Cat. I know Aunt Effie would enjoy it here. Bring her home with you! Won’t you.
Here is a kiss for you, one for Aunt Effie, a hug for Dad and a scratching for Miss Cat.
In haste--Your,
Lyndon Bainez
