Darling:
When I came in from the country this a.m., I had your card and letter waiting for me. It made me start the week off with more hope than I had when I got here. Welly, Alice and I went down Sat. night and it rained so much Sunday that we couldn’t get out much and I enjoy the exercises more than the conversation.
The table has come and is fairly nice. I don’t know how they will like it.
I’m getting very lonely for you and am either coming home or going to get you to come back up here. We may get away from here by the 15th and if
2
so I am going to get my applications ok’d as quickly as I can after that and get home in a very few days.
Here is my check for $150. I’ve forgotten how much you wanted but if this isn’t enough write. This just about breaks me but I’m spending too much and hope you have some left to buy things in Dallas.
I love you – love you
